nova theme - how do I tweak the nivo slider options on the index page

    I am trying to tweak the nivo slider options on the index page but it is not working correctly, i.e. nothing changes. I want to change the effect, animspeed, etc but it is not working correctly. Can someone please advise how to do this exactly, thanks.

    You can change that at the "js/custom.js" file.

    Thank you for such an amazing template. How can I change the size of the slider? I would like to include a widget for the calendar in the space beside the slider. What do I need to change to accomplish that? Thank you so very much for your help!
